Winners of the first annual Global Grid Awards (Griddies)

Grid Winners Announced:

There was cause for celebration in the New York grid computing
community last week as sibling publication Waters announced the
winners of the first annual Global Grid Awards, or Griddies, after the
second annual Street#Grid event in lower Manhattan.

Waters solicited nominations from grid experts inside investment firms
and the high-performance computing community. The entries were judged
by a blue-ribbon panel of industry participants.

This year's winners are:

Best Grid Project: Credit Suisse Grid Implementation
Best Grid Team: HSBC Unified Grid Team
Grid Manager of the Year: Lewis Foti, Royal Bank of Scotland
Best Grid: JPMorgan Compute Backbone
Best Virtualization Initiative: JPMorgan Compute Backbone
Top Grid Consultant: BearingPoint
Best Vendor Grid Solution: GemStone Systems' GemFire
Outstanding Grid Vendor-A Tie: DataSynapse and Platform Computing
