I would generally agree.

And if you are going to do computer-based training for kids, doing it in a proprietary "OS" instead of mainstream/traditional apps and OS's means they're missing out on gaining "real world" experience that might help them in a job. There's a reason why OLPC Sugar interface mostly failed.

Kids learn when they see something bigger, more complex than they are
'supposed' to deal with at their age! That is how humans are wired by
evolution.

Hm, something bigger and more complex... like a giant TV running Cisco Telepresence in their classroom, right?
