[ Cloud Computing ] Re: Beta testers needed for cloud storage product

High level features include:

- a local iSCSI interface that runs as a virtual appliance

- replication options to multiple commercial cloud storage providers

- policy-based management features including encyption/key generation, hierarchical user management and usage throttling, and local caching/sync.

 

The value proposition is enterprise-type manageability and availability of storage resources, while still getting the low cost and linear scaling of cloud storage. Target customers are medium businesses and service providers. Target applications are around structured data (messaging, database); specifically those that would like 5-nine availability without the high cost.

 

Let us know if you're interested in beta testing and/or providing feedback on product direction.
