[ Cloud Computing ] Re: Private cloud networks are the future of corporate IT?

I believe it is going down a couple directions:

- Cloud management with images, etc...
- Situational Stacks that will provide the images

If you look at the approaches both Amazon and Google are taking they
diverge on those topics.

App Engine locks you into a stack and you don't have much control on
how the image is setup.
EC lets you customize the image and provide any image you want, but
you are responsible for
setting up the load balancing, etc.. for the environment.

I could see those 3 all be part of the market:
- Cloud environment providers (appliances, or management software to
manage a cloud in a private network)
- Infrastructure tools (ability to track the cloud performance, backup
data, etc...)

- Image providers (provides a stack that is easy to deploy to that is
the initial image loaded into the cloud environment)
