We should also add:
d) SaaS style applications that can be instanced to other people's clouds, these would exist across every business software segment. This would be a replacement for say a software appliance model.

Gartner has predicated "Private cloud networks are the future of
corporate IT"

I believe such a trend could fuel new innovation and business
opportunities for Tech startups, ISVs and Service providers.
What is the Eco-System here ?
"Emergence of new Tech firms/Tools"
a) Better (cost effective) tools to Automate-Package,Deploy and Manage
the "VM Image Stacks"
- Example of emerging companies - Enamoly,Embotics,rPath
- Critical Enabler/Manager of Corporate IT Private clouds
"Cloud Ready -ISV Packages"
b) More and more Self contained VM Stacks of ISV Packages (ex Redhat/
Lamp/JBoss for AMZ EC2) that corporate IT/CIO could upgrade to or
shop for.
Emergence of Innovative /Niche Cloud Solutions/Services"
c) Service providers to the Corporates
Finally a+b+c for CIOs should be optimised for Better IT
consolidation,Lower TCO,Improved ROI
