I've found it interesting to see all the perspectives in this group.

 

I was interested in thoughts from others in this group on the value of the Cloud for the end user.  Is cloud computing just a vehicle to lower the price of software as a service, or increase its security, availability and reliability?  Or are there other intangibles that come from having software in the cloud for the end user?  For example, does an integrated experience of multiple apps working together, from multiple application providers, become easier to achieve and market because software is in the cloud?  Do new possibilities emerge? 

 

We're looking at this in Intuit's Partner Platform, which is the PaaS translation of the QBSDK.  Security, availability and reliability are architectural quality attributes that are important and affected by the cloud, but usability is important too.  How does/can the Cloud help usability, if at all?
