[ Cloud Computing ] Re: Big Players cornered the cloud?

I reply just based on a common sense, not particularly for cloud computing.

I believe, however, that both you and your client should think one more step on what exactly this concept of cloud computing might be helpful in its situation. 

If the target is to compete on creating the infrastructure or certain fundamental foundation of the cloud computing, it would be difficult for small companies to approach since it is about to establish an industrial standard. On the other hand, if the goal is to add the concept of cloud computing into their current product or services so that their new-generation product could be compatible to the coming age of cloud computing, it would be definitely right and they should consider this approach seriously. 

In general, I disagree that "the big players (Microsoft and Google) are leaving little room for other companies to grow in this area. " 

Cloud computing is a very broad concept in which big companies and small companies may have different roles.
